QA Analyst (Manual + Automation)

1 · Your tasks

• Write and execute manual test cases from user stories and acceptance criteria
• Automate the most important regression paths with Selenium, and keep those scripts up to date
• When something breaks, raise a defect that shows how to make it happen again, with screenshots and the environment details
• Help run UAT cycles, and re-test each fix in every test environment

2 · The project

Project: Testing that a set of core internal applications works as expected, both for new features (functional) and after every change (regression).

3 · Work papers we accept

USC, GC, EAD, OPT, STEM OPT accepted.

USC:

U.S. citizen.

GC:

green card holder (a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.).

EAD:

short for Employment Authorization Document. This USCIS card lets you take a job in the U.S.

OPT:

Optional Practical Training. F-1 students use it to gain job experience in their field after school.

STEM OPT:

added OPT time for STEM grads (science, tech, engineering, math). Only E-Verify employers can offer it.

4 · Words to know

Contract:

the job runs for a planned period. Here that period is 12 months or more.

W2:

you are on the payroll, and tax is taken from each paycheck.

C2C:

short for corp-to-corp. Your own company sends the invoice and receives the payment.

Onsite:

you work at the office. "5 days/week" means five office days each week.
