STEM OPT roles at ByteBridge Talent LLC.

ByteBridge Talent LLC is an E-Verify employer offering STEM OPT jobs in software, cloud and data. For contract and contract-to-hire STEM OPT roles, ByteBridge Talent LLC is your employer: we sign your Form I-983, and your training supervisor and evaluations come from ByteBridge Talent LLC personnel, including on-site at the client. For full-time roles with a client, the client is your employer and signs your I-983, and it must be enrolled in E-Verify. Eligibility is decided by DHS.

We are a technology talent and IT staffing company in Grand Island, Nebraska, founded in February 2025 and an E-Verify participant. We place Software Engineers on contract, contract-to-hire and direct-hire terms.

The training plan

What a Form I-983 looks like with us.

A training plan is only useful if it matches the real job. ByteBridge Talent LLC writes it, and ByteBridge Talent LLC personnel supervise and evaluate you, so the objectives describe the work you are actually doing.

The role and the training

The training plan describes the work you will do and the new skills you are expected to build while doing it. We write it around the actual client role, not a generic template.

How you will be supervised

It sets out who you report to and how your progress is reviewed. You always know who to go to with a question about the work or the plan itself.

Who signs it

For contract and contract-to-hire STEM OPT roles, ByteBridge Talent LLC is your employer: we sign your Form I-983, and your training supervisor and evaluations come from ByteBridge Talent LLC personnel, including on-site at the client. For full-time roles with a client, the client is your employer and signs your I-983, and it must be enrolled in E-Verify.

This is general information, not legal advice. Eligibility and obligations depend on your employer and situation; confirm with your DSO and an immigration attorney.

Common issues

Common issues and how we help.

These are the situations candidates ask us about most often. Open any item for a plain explanation of the issue and what we do on our side.

The employer must be enrolled in E-Verify

The issue. The STEM OPT extension is only available with an employer enrolled in E-Verify, so this is one of the first things to confirm before you accept a role.

How ByteBridge Talent LLC helps. ByteBridge Talent LLC participates in E-Verify. You can confirm this with your DSO when you prepare your extension application.

The Form I-983 training plan

The issue. STEM OPT requires a formal training plan, and it has to be signed by the employer that actually employs and trains you — not by a client you happen to work at.

How ByteBridge Talent LLC helps.

Material changes to role, hours or supervisor

The issue. Changes such as a new role, different hours or a new supervisor can be material changes. Those may require an updated I-983 and a notification to your DSO.

How ByteBridge Talent LLC helps. We flag changes early when a client engagement shifts. Then we work with you on the updated plan so nothing is left to the last minute.

The 12-month and final self-evaluations

The issue. STEM OPT includes self-evaluations at the 12-month point and at the end of the training, and the employer has a portion to complete as well.

How ByteBridge Talent LLC helps. We remind you ahead of the due dates rather than after them. When the time comes, we complete the employer portion with you.

Filing timing and the unemployment limit

The issue. The extension has to be filed on time, and the unemployment limit across OPT and STEM OPT combined is up to 150 days. Both are easy to lose track of.

How ByteBridge Talent LLC helps. We help you plan your timeline from the day you start. Role and paperwork details are kept ready, so filing does not depend on a last-minute scramble for information.
