DevOps Engineer (Mid-Level)

1 · Your tasks

• Look after the Jenkins and GitHub Actions pipelines, including the quality and security checks every build must pass
• Write Terraform modules for AWS networking, compute, and storage resources
• Build and troubleshoot Docker images and Helm-based deployments
• Improve build times, artifact promotion, and rollback procedures

2 · The project

Project: Updating build pipelines and automating environments for the squads that ship applications.

3 · Work papers we accept

USC, GC, EAD, OPT, STEM OPT. H-1B transfer for qualified candidates.

USC:

U.S. citizen.

GC:

green card holder (a lawful permanent resident of the U.S.).

EAD:

short for Employment Authorization Document. This USCIS card lets you take a job in the U.S.

OPT:

Optional Practical Training. F-1 students use it to gain job experience in their field after school.

STEM OPT:

added OPT time for STEM grads (science, tech, engineering, math). Only E-Verify employers can offer it.

H-1B transfer:

4 · Words to know

Contract:

the job runs for a planned period. Here that period is 12 months or more.

W2:

you are on the payroll, and tax is taken from each paycheck.

C2C:

short for corp-to-corp. Your own company sends the invoice and receives the payment.

Hybrid:

a mix of office days and home days. "2 days onsite/week" or "3 days onsite/week" is the number of office days each week.

401(k):

a retirement savings plan. "With match" means the employer adds money too.

PTO:

paid time off for rest, travel or personal days.

FSA/HSA:

accounts that let you set aside pre-tax money for health costs.
